Master Degree in Educational Leadership

The Master of Educational Leadership (MEDL) degree program is designed for students who hold a valid classroom teaching certificate and will have two years of credible teaching experience by the end of the program, all while pursuing principal certification in Texas. Offered at UHD, this program is specifically crafted to prepare K-12 educational leaders to tackle contemporary challenges effectively.
America needs transformative leaders in K–12 education—individuals whose commitment to educational excellence is reinforced by practical knowledge of effective leadership strategies for learning and development. Graduates will also develop a strong understanding of federal, state, and local school regulations, along with the organizational management skills necessary to translate visionary ideas into meaningful school improvements.
