About the Actors & Crew
Kyla Shy (Annette) is delighted to bring Annette to life in God of Carnage. She is currently studying Medical Humanities at the University of Houston–Downtown
and plans to pursue a Physician Assistant program after graduation. Passionate about
creative expression, Kyla explores storytelling through dance, faith, and theater.
God of Carnage marks an exciting opportunity for Kyla to dive into the chaos and humor of human
relationships on stage.;
Khang Huynh (Allen) is a third-year STEM major at the University of Houston–Downtown. He has been part
of the O’Kane Theatre for two years, performing in Much Ado About Nothing (Borachio), Unpersons: One for the Road (Victor), One Man, Two Guvnors (Alan), and working on deck crew for Pipeline. Before joining UHD productions, Khang spent six years doing theatre from middle school
through high school, appearing in shows such as My Fair Lady (Ensemble), Chicago (Ensemble), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ching-Ho), Leading Ladies (Butch), and Noises Off (Selsdon). Khang is grateful to be part of the O’Kane Theatre family and thankful for the chance
to learn from and work alongside Timothy Klein, Luke Fedell, Kyle Moore, Shawn Ryder,
and Zach Dailey. He wishes the best to everyone and hopes to continue pursuing what
he loves most — storytelling through theatre.
Gaelle Elias (Veronica) made her debut at the O’Kane Theatre, where she somehow managed to play
two sisters in The Amish Project (Velda/Anna) without starting a family feud. She
later took to the stage as the unforgettable Skydiving Grandma… Yes, the parachute
was imaginary, but the commitment was real in The Book Club Play. When not performing,
Gaelle can be found backstage wrangling props, or quietly wondering if the theatre
ghosts are watching her work. A proud UHD alum, Gaelle loves bringing stories to life
that make audiences laugh, feel, think, and sometimes all at once.
Emmanuel Ojode (Michael) grew up near the sea and currently lives beneath it. He first received
his education from public schools and private tutors, and then vice versa. He has
been hailed as a brilliant scholar, discredited as a brilliant fraud, and mistaken
for a much taller man on many occasions. Early in his life, Mr. Ojode learned to reupholster
furniture while doing a 2000 second plank, a skill that turned out to be far more
important than anyone could imagine. Most things written about him are not true, but
this is.;
