UHD business graduate applicants for the Spring 2025 semester may be eligible for a tuition grant upon completing the admissions application process at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) based on enrollment status and financial need! The funds will be distributed for new incoming students and current/continuing students in MBA, MPAC, and MSM. Students must be enrolled by December 15, 2024

Criteria for Awards:

  • Each Student who newly enrolls for Spring 2025 is eligible for at least $1,000. 
    • Students must be enrolled by December 15, 2024
    • Admit date does not impact Tuition Grant Awarding
  • Four Main Criteria: Apply for Admissions into MBA, MSM, MPAC at https://connect.uhd.edu/portal/GRAD​. ​​ 
    • Complete admissions application by submitting supplemental documents for program.
      • Students in pending degree conferral status must submit their current/inprogress transcript to be eligible. 
      • All students are required to submit a FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. 
      • Student must display financial need (COA-EFC-Additional Aid=Remaining Need) 
      • Best to award before students accept aid (i.e. loans) as this impacts need. If students accept all aid, then the cost of attendance is met, so no need is left. 
  • Note: The award will apply on student account once officially admitted into a 10GR program (MSM, MPAC, MBA) and UHD Financial Aid confirms eligibility.
Complete the steps below to get started:
  1. If you have not already, apply for admission to a graduate business program for the Spring 2025 term. 
  2. Submit all required admission documentation according to your program. 
  3. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) UHD's school code: 003612. 

Eligibility Criteria for Award: 
  • All students are required to submit a FAFSA. 
  • Students must be enrolled at least half-time (4 hours for graduate students). 
  • Students must display financial need (as determined by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid). 
  • Students must be enrolled by December 15, 2024
  • International Students are not eligible at this time.
