Open social media or watch the news for a few minutes and one gets the sense that, every day, there’s a new risk, threat, or scheme against which we as individuals must protect ourselves. Knowing how to recognize such a risk, and how to act in response, can help keep you and your fellow Gators safe.
This fall, the Center for Public Service and Community Research, in collaboration with the UHD Police Department, will present “Don’t Be a Victim,” a series of practical workshops designed to help Gators build skills they can use in everyday situations. Sessions will address campus hazing, public transportation safety, online solicitation, financial fraud, and self-defense.
