UHD Alumni Relations is launching its new “Gator Legacy Series” from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, at UHD@1801 Main. First out of the gate is an event that is perfect for alums with children in middle or high school who have plans to attend college. Plus UHD faculty and staff alums may attend for free.
UHD alumni are invited to “Preparing the Next Generation for College – From Money to Mental Health” to hear from Amegy Bank representative and UHD alum John Hernandez on saving strategies and budgeting skills. UHD Director of Counseling Services Naomi Berger-Perez will follow with meaningful ways for parents to support their children emotionally and encourage independence, resilience, and open conversations about college dreams without pressure.
As this event is open to all alumni, there is a nominal fee of $5 per person; however, faculty and staff alumni may register at no cost with the code STAFFALUMS. Parking is free, and light refreshments will be served. All UHD alums will also receive a very special swag bag.
