Community Engagement & Service Learning Committee
Charge
The committee supports the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning (CCESL) work by championing its programs to fellow faculty and staff. Additionally, the committee reviews applications for each semester for service learning courses, community engagement grants, scholarships managed by CCESL, the Newman Civic Fellow and the summer internship program.
Composition
The Community Engagement and Service Learning Committee is a standing university committee that is appointed annually by the Office of the Provost. Membership includes one full time faculty member from each of the 14 academic departments, 5 staff members recommended by the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning, one Newman Fellow student, one representative from the Office of the President, and two representatives from the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning office. Faculty and Staff appointees will serve two-year terms.
